Cant write directly, so
In many ways and on many levels one is able to point out many similarities between this and brave new world. Specific examples would be nice but unfortunately I have, just like the protagonist in A Clockwork Orange, been programmed to think good and therefore write positively--the very fact that I've got to write subtly tells much about certain conditioning, if one may call it that, going on. Actually I would think it more as very compelling obligations I need to fulfill for the sake of my own welfare.
Fancy telling you to sign for something you were forced to do. I gave a different sign, because if there's one thing I cannot stand, it is being compelled to acknowledge your part in committing a dreadful sin. This is how much I place value in free will, and never will my personal integrity be compromised because of certain obligations to the society. I can be tolerant of all the other funny things, but to me, that act was really, really disgusting. As burgess would probably tell you, it is always better to be a natural bad than to be a conditioned good, and despite the fact that it remains a mere act of defiance, it does, by not carrying my signature, carry my signature all around.
