A Pale View of Things

I find Ishiguro's A Pale View of Hills weak and nothing compared to The Remains of the Day, which is incidentally a true must-read.

Went to the Settlers Cafe at Clarke Quay twice over the past week, it's much much better than the Mind Games Cafe at Prinsep Street. It's frustrating to see youg adults being so adverse or, at the very least, apathetic, to such places. Maybe they think that board games entails chess, risk and monopoly, games that are either too boring or too simple. Or maybe they think clubs are exciting and sophisticated.
