Can say directly, so (II)

I want to stay at home to read my books, play my games, I want to stay at home and laze on my bed, with dcfc turned on and my mind turned off. I want to read the papers every morning at 10, and then laze around till lunch before lazing around till napping time. I want to have coffee with my friends, I want to stay overnight at their houses to play risk, to play cards, I want to catch the oasis concert, I want to watch movies and have pleasant dinners out.

I want to write. I want to start on a proper play, and no it's not because I was encouraged by theatreworks to do so, though admittedly the award, amateurish as it was, gave me a right boost to my spirits.

I need to write. I need to write to channel away all this negative things inside me; in fact the entries here are in themselves spirited attempts to expulse any excess negative tendencies within my mind.

I want and need to do all these things, but I cant because Im stuck in the military. Im stuck in the military spending 1 hour periods cleaning my rifle, Im stuck in the military packing and repacking my field pack, polishing my boots, marching here and there, singing the same old songs, hearing the same old vulgarities, doing the same little things over and over and over again. I spent 7 days in a field camp and the only significant lesson I learnt was how to find your way north with the stars, a lesson which can be learnt anytime and anywhere else, and which was done in a matter of seconds anyway. I spent a day in a training shed waiting to throw one miserable piece of grenade, and I havent even got to throw it because the queue is still at the one-third mark.

I've already thought of the title of my play. It's going to be called Rats, it's going to be something very unique, and it's never going to be done in the next two years. So thank you mindef, for ruining my life.
