Blog

Went out the past few days. Here's a quick outline.

Monday: French eatery with myself.

Tuesday: Lunch with some philosophy peers, taught them mahjong in the afternoon, dinner afterwards. Consumed some pear wine - first time I've touched a drink in months. I don't like alcohol, but thought I should build up some resistance.

Wednesday: Simple meet-up with a friend.

Thursday: Attended last Workers' Party by-election rally. People were still shouting 'Huat ah' and 'Workers' Party' in the train station, and especially when the train doors opened. I like attending these rallies, they give me the sense I am in the midst of an uprising. Very good stuff.

Friday: Mobilised for a mahjong game with a friend and his friends. Responded with swiftness, swiftly lost money too. Consumed a bit of Anchor beer and Korean rice wine during lunch - first time I've touched a drink in days. I don't like alcohol, but thought I should build up some resistance.

Complex meet-up with a friend thereafter.

Saturday: Lunch at Little India with friends. Caught The Wind-up Bird Chronicle later on in the evening. Was not bad, though - probably because it was condensed from a book - it felt a bit too messy at times.

Sunday: Went down for 2nd round of auditions. It's pleasant just sitting in a studio on a Sunday watching people interact in various ways.

So I don't get a terrible headache so easily whenever I touch a drink.
